Cookies
Last updated 2 August 2026
The short version. We set one cookie to keep you signed in, which the site cannot work without. Everything else is optional and off until you allow it.
Cookies we have to set
These keep the site working. They do not track you across other websites and there is no way to turn them off while still using an account.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in while you are using your account. It disappears when you sign out or the session expires.
- Your cookie choice — we remember whether you said yes or no, so we do not ask you on every page.
Analytics, only if you allow it
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people actually read, so we can make the confusing ones clearer. It sets cookies and tells us things like which pages were visited and roughly where in the world from.
It does not run until you allow it. If you choose "No thanks", nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. We have also turned off advertising features and enabled IP anonymisation, because there is no version of this product where it would be appropriate to build advertising audiences out of people looking at it.
Nothing about the person wearing a band is ever sent to Analytics. Their name, condition and medication live in your account, not in a tracking tool.
Changing your mind
You can switch at any time. Change your cookie choice — that brings the banner back so you can choose again. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, which resets everything.
